THE OLDEST MAN ON EARTH
Once the words are written down, you’re in trouble; but the alternative - a blank page - can be more dreadful still. The Oldest Man on Earth is a selection of poetry uneasily consigned to the harsh reality of paper in the course of the last decade.
From freaky funfairs and foul feathers to awkward affairs and anxious mornings after, everybody’s favourite horrors are hinted at here, in bleakest black and white.
Vic Pratt, artist, musician, yarn-spinner, archivist, comic collector, poet and essayist, was born in Hounslow, West London, in 1971. The Oldest Man on Earth is his first slim volume of verse.
